These terms apply when you use Tiles Experts's website or request a quote or tiling service from us. By contacting us or accepting a quote, you agree to the terms below.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are provided in writing after we assess your project and are specific to the scope described in that quote. Prices are not final until confirmed in writing; changes to the scope of work during a project may change the price, and we will discuss any change with you before proceeding.
Workmanship
Any workmanship warranty we provide is set out in your written quote, on a job-by-job basis. We do not make blanket guarantees about workmanship, timelines, or outcomes outside of what is specifically agreed to in writing for your project.
Scheduling
Tiles Experts operates from an office at 81 Metcalfe Street, Ottawa, ON K1P 6K7, Monday to Saturday, with office visits by appointment and all tiling work performed at the client property. Start dates and timelines are estimates based on the information available at the time of quoting and may be affected by material availability, site conditions found once work begins, or scheduling constraints.
Permits
Where a project requires a building, plumbing, or electrical permit under City of Ottawa requirements, we will discuss this with you before work begins. Cosmetic, like-for-like tile replacement with no changes to plumbing, electrical, or the building's structure typically does not require a permit.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tiles Experts' liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the written quote for the project in question. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions (such as prior water damage, subfloor issues, or structural concerns) discovered during a project that were not visible at the time of quoting; we will disclose any such findings and discuss options before proceeding.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
